NewsGuard 100/100 Score

The Premier healthcare alliance today announced that a new group buy for wind turbines is available with Southwest Windpower of Flagstaff, Ariz. The group buy supports wind energy, the nation's fastest growing source of energy.

The group buy provides discounts on all wind turbines and towers currently offered by Southwest Windpower, including:

  • Skystream®
  • Whisper™
  • Air™

Southwest Windpower will also provide a free wind energy assessment for alliance member healthcare sites to determine wind energy potential, financial savings opportunities, and environmental impact possibilities.

Using wind energy to generate electricity helps conserve energy, improve energy security and protect the environment. Wind turbines can reduce energy costs and the carbon footprint within facility structures. Southwest Windpower's designs range in size and scope, but all contribute to a healthy and sustainable community.

Effective July 1 through October 31, 2011, the group buy is available to acute care and continuum of care members of Premier.

Premier will offer additional opportunities for group buys in energy conservation and management within the next 90 days. Last year, Premier alliance members saved $81 million by participating in group buys.

Premier's group buy program delivers hospitals value through coordinated, volume driven purchasing opportunities. Savings vary between 5-15 percent and the program offers value-adds such as special financing rates, trade-in programs, preventative maintenance, training, service programs and extended warranties.
