WellAWARE Systems, the developer of breakthrough technology designed to enable proactive and preventive senior care, announced a new partnership with Masonic Homes of Kentucky. The participating communities include Masonic Homes of Kentucky-Louisville Campus including the new Sam Swope Care Center, Pillars Assisted Care Community, Masonic Home Village Apartments, Masonic Home of Shelbyville, The Pillars Assisted Living Center and Select Home Care Options in Ashland.

"Every day senior care providers are faced with increasing challenges to provide the highest quality of care possible for the seniors they serve while simultaneously managing costs," said Gary Marsh, President & CEO, Masonic Homes of Kentucky. "Today's healthcare reform environment demands that we identify new ways of delivering care that are innovative and more efficient. Masonic Homes of Kentucky is committed to actively leading the charge in driving a new standard of senior care that will combine the latest technology with the highest quality of care possible. We firmly believe WellAWARE's technology will help us deliver on our commitment. "

WellAWARE's advanced "smart sensor" solution supports caregivers by providing insightful, actionable data about resident wellness and overall health (i.e. sleep quality, bathroom visits, activity levels and more). By proactively responding to data trends that may indicate emerging health conditions, caregivers can significantly improve health related outcomes and reduce costs associated with emergency room visits and hospital admissions.

"After much due diligence and evaluation, we found that WellAWARE provides us with proactive and objective wellness data that otherwise would not be available. Armed with this invaluable information we can identify changes in wellness earlier and prevent the costly escalation of health issues," said Marsh. "This innovative technology will allow us to deliver excellence in care while driving down healthcare costs. At the end of the day, it's our undeniable responsibility to serve the needs of primarily our older adults in ways that help them remain at home longer and healthier, as well as, the Masons and their families in the Commonwealth of Kentucky."

"We are honored to partner with such a visionary organization," said Jeff Noce, CEO of WellAWARE Systems. "WellAWARE's success is a direct result of our on-going partnerships with forward thinking providers such as Masonic Homes of Kentucky. Their use of cutting-edge technology to improve quality and reduce costs establishes a new best practice for the entire senior care industry."
