The Canadian Dermatology Association is happy to announce the winners of its most prestigious awards as presented at the President's gala during the CDA 86th Annual Conference in Edmonton. Dr. Ian Landells presided over the evening's events honouring two of Canada's dermatologists for their contributions to the Association and the dermatology specialty.

Each year the distinguished President's Cup award is given by the CDA president to a CDA member dermatologist whom the president feels has made a significant contribution to the Association. This year Dr. Ian Landells selected to recognize Dr. Kirk Barber of Calgary, Alberta for his immense contributions to the continued success of the Association and the annual conference in his role as CDA's Director of Industry Relations.

Dr. Landells also presented the Award of Merit during the gala. Recipients of this award exemplify excellence of leadership and contributions made to the CDA in clinical and research activities, teaching, organizational and administrative ability, and community services. This year's recipient of the Award of Merit was Dr. Charles Lynde of Markham, Ontario for his extensive contributions to the Association as the Editor of the CDA Bulletin, his work as a clinical professor at the University of Toronto as well as his continued research and interest in clinical trials.
