AANEM awards accreditation status to four UH Neuromuscular Center EMG labs

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

The American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) has awarded accreditation status to four electromyography (EMG) laboratories affiliated with the University Hospitals (UH) Neuromuscular Center in Northeast Ohio.

The EMG labs at UH Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Oh., UH Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Oh., UH University Suburban Health Center in S. Euclid, Oh., and UH Westlake Health Center in Westlake, Oh., received accreditation. UH Case Medical Center is the first academic medical center (a teaching and research hospital) in Ohio to be accredited by AANEM.

The AANEM recently completed its review of the UH Neurological Institute's application for accreditation through the Electrodiagnostic Laboratory Accreditation Program and determined that the labs successfully met the accreditation standards.

Accreditation indicates demonstrated clinical excellence in electrodiagnostic (EDX) medicine to patients, referral sources and payers. It also confirms the labs' commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare.
