Provisional settlement reached for Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals at CCACs

Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) President Linda Haslam-Stroud, RN is pleased to announce that a tentative settlement has been reached for 3,000 Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals working in 10 of Ontario's Community Care Access Centres (CCACs).

The agreement was reached early this morning after a marathon mediation session with mediator Gerry Lee.

The collective agreement covers the more than 3,000 Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals who work as Case Managers, Placement Coordinators, Nurse Practitioners, speech therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists and social workers.

Details of the agreement are confidential until ratification by the members. Ratification meetings will be held across the province at 30 sites this evening.

ONA represents members at the: Central CCAC, Central East CCAC, Erie St. Clair CCAC, Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant CCAC, North East CCAC, North Simcoe Muskoka CCAC, North West CCAC, South East CCAC, South West CCAC and the Waterloo Wellington CCAC. In total, their services are available to nine million Ontarians.
