First public showcase of Ascom's Home Care Services

This summer Ascom Wireless Solutions launched their brand new line of Home Care Services - which is now getting ready for its first public showcase. In a couple of weeks attendees at Manchester's Healthcare Estates Exhibition will get the first opportunity to experience innovations ready to redefine independent living.

A need now met by Ascom's Home Care Services. The showcase at the Healthcare Estates Exhibition in Manchester, 1st - 2nd November, will feature a number of different Ascom products, two of them from the Home Care Services line: the Ascom Home Gateway and the range of new Ascom Care Phones.

"These are highly intelligent units with significant possibilities to adapt to the user, allowing help to be summoned by the touch of a button. Together they make it easier than ever for ageing or recovering individuals to prolong time spent at home - as opposed to living at a care home," says Mark Leppard, Director of Sales at Ascom (UK) Ltd.

The Ascom Home Gateway is a new product to the UK market, but already a success in several countries. It functions as one single system that links traditional and network connected base stations together, enabling users to move seamlessly throughout the entire network. Based on the individual's specific needs it securely connects housebound users to the outside world, continuously adapting for the best possible performance at any given moment. Besides providing alarm functionalities such as social alarms and monitoring, it also supports wireless equipment such as sensors for individuals that need to be monitored on a daily basis.

The Ascom Care Phone is designed to eliminate the anxiety of disabled individuals and their loved ones about potential emergencies at home. Built around a system of transmitters and receivers, it allows caregivers to monitor physical conditions remotely, ensuring that no problems arise. If problems do arise, these are signalled immediately, meaning assistance can arrive at once.
