Politico Pro: HHS Steps Up It's Role In Rate Review
Federal regulators will step up their role in rate review for association health plans after determining nearly half the states lack a satisfactory mechanism for reviewing premiums on these special health insurance products, which trade groups sell to members. HHS will conduct a portion of the rate reviews for association health plans in 10 states, and do the full review of premium hikes in 12 more states, according to an update on the HHS website Wednesday (Millman, 10/26).
