Anton/Bauer to launch new hot swappable batteries at HIMSS12

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Anton/Bauer, the world's premier provider of batteries, chargers, and other mobile power systems for the healthcare industry, will set a new industry standard with the launch of new "hot swappable" batteries at the HIMSS12 Health IT Conference and Exhibition (booth #4869) February 21 – 23.

Anton/Bauer's HotSwap systems enable hospitals to power mobile workstations without downtime while ensuring 100 percent mobility. Because workstations never need to be plugged into a wall, HotSwap reduces hallway clutter and ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards.

"At HIMSS12, we will showcase new products that raise the standard for this important technology that transforms workflows and reduces overall capital equipment costs," said Patrick Ney, vice president of Anton/Bauer's MPS division. "HotSwap is the only swappable power system on the market today designed for demanding healthcare settings that allows hospitals to select from multiple battery chemistries and capacities to meet performance and budget goals."

Anton/Bauer will also feature its Interactive® Charging System that enables users to re-charge many different battery types with one device. This 'smart' technology ensures compatibility with future cell chemistries by adjusting requirements with a simple software upgrade.

"Our Interactive Charging System gives hospitals the ability to plan long-term without fear that the power system they are purchasing will become obsolete," explained Ney. "Every Anton/Bauer battery is compatible with all Anton/Bauer chargers, and our advanced system will ensure compatibility as battery technology continues to advance."
