Netsmart, the leading provider of clinical solutions for health and human services organizations nationwide, today announced it has selected 4950 College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kan., as the location for its permanent Kansas office. Netsmart has named the office the Solutionarium.

"Our clients rely on us to help them navigate the challenges of health care reform by offering the solutions that serve as the building blocks in that journey. We chose the name Solutionarium because we felt it appropriately represents the marriage of vision and providing innovative solutions that is required for Netsmart to be the leader that our industry needs us to be," said Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine.

The Solutionarium will be a revolutionary building where Netsmart's associates, deemed solutionaries, will not just build software technology, but develop innovative clinical and business solutions that help improve the health and well-being of more than 60 million people nationwide. Inside the building, clients and visitors will witness first-hand, and collaborate in, the reshaping of systems of care.

"As the industry leader, we have an obligation to our clients to be cause-connected, innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking as we develop solutions that help transform the delivery of care through technology," said Valentine. "Our mission is to lead through new technology innovations that, in turn, allow caregivers to redefine how they serve and connect with the people they serve.  And the really exciting part is that this isn't just a future goal -- we are engaged in some unbelievably transformative initiatives with our clients today."

When renovations are completed in mid-June, the Solutionarium will be the home to approximately 120 Netsmart solutionaries. That number will grow to more than 500 in the Overland Park facility over the next five years. Netsmart opened a temporary office in Kansas with just three associates in June 2011. The company has additional major offices in Dublin, Ohio, and Great River, New York, with more than 500 solutionaries.

"Netsmart is an expanding company in a fast growing niche in the healthcare sector," said Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback. "I'm glad that Kansas could provide the right business environment, a skilled workforce and a great quality of life to help Netsmart meet its growth plans. I look forward to the continued success of the company moving forward."

Netsmart worked with the Kansas City Area Development Council, met with representatives from both Kansas and Missouri, as well as several mayors prior to making the decision to locate their office in Overland Park.

"It's always great news for Kansas, when a company like Netsmart decides to establish a major center of operation in our state," said Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George. "I'm excited that our state was the right fit for the company's future growth and development."

Netsmart has signed a long-term lease for the building with Executive Hills Management Inc. "Netsmart is innovative and forward-thinking, with a plan for long-term growth and a commitment to the region," said Larry Bridges, president of Executive Hills Management Inc. "Their 'Solutionarium' concept is a great way for them to incorporate innovation as an integral component of the building. We're pleased to work with companies like Netsmart that are in growth industries and have a strong, focused approach to their business."
