Six Cogent HMG physicians earn Fellow and Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine designations

Cogent HMG, a national leader in the field of hospital medicine and critical care medicine, is pleased to recognize the following physician colleagues who are being acknowledged as Fellows of Hospital Medicine (FHM) and Senior Fellows of Hospital Medicine (SHFM) in the 2012 class by the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM):

"To have six Cogent HMG physicians recognized by SHM this year not only acknowledges the hard work and expertise of our company's physicians, but also recognizes their commitment to furthering the field of hospital medicine," said John J. To be designated as a Fellow or Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine, an applicant must be a hospitalist for five years, a member of SHM for three years, demonstrate their dedication to quality and process improvement, commitment to organizational teamwork and leadership, as well as lifelong learning and education.

Drs. Ilan Alhadeff, Daniel De La Torre, Adam Fall, and Mohamed Noori join a community of 954 hospitalists who are designated as Fellows in Hospital Medicine, and Drs. Bairava Kuppuswamy and Cynthia Lawless join a group of 243 hospitalists who are designated as Senior Fellows in Hospital Medicine.

The Fellow and Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine designations are offered through the Society of Hospital Medicine, the leading medical society for more than 34,000 hospitalists. SHM is dedicated to promoting the highest quality care for all hospitalized patients and overall excellence in the practice of hospital medicine through quality improvement, education, advocacy and research.
