SelectHealth is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2012 Select 25
award. The nonprofit
health insurance carrier will give $2,500 to each of the 25 winners
to assist them in their efforts to improve health and wellness, or to
serve populations with special needs.
Winners were selected from all areas of Utah and represented a wide
range of services, including after-school exercise activities, housing
for low-income families, and educational resources for those with
special needs.
"We are continually impressed by people throughout the state who see a
need in their community and work to find a solution," says SelectHealth
President and CEO Patricia Richards. "We are proud to support these
organizations and help them make a difference in the lives of the people
they serve."
The Select
25 award was originally created to commemorate the 25th
anniversary of SelectHealth. The award continues to support programs
that share the SelectHealth commitment to community service and health
improvement. This year, more than 360 organizations applied for the
award.
