The Fifteenth Annual Sweetheart Ball was held on Saturday, February 25, at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale and raised a record breaking $280,000.
Funds raised at this year's Sweetheart Ball, which was co-chaired by Dr. Ken and Ann Nahum and Phil and Marilyn Perricone, will benefit cancer programs and services at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
A highlight of the evening included the opportunity to award John and Kathy Weiland with the William C. Black Award of Hope for their generous contributions to the hospital. The award was named after the late Mr. William Black and is presented annually to an individual who personifies Mr. Black's commitment and generosity towards Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Mr. Black previously served on the Meridian Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors of the Jersey Shore Medical Center.
