NewsGuard 100/100 Score

iMedX Inc., a leading healthcare software and services company, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the assets of Accumed Script Inc. ("Accumed").  With this acquisition, iMedX adds Accumed's many clinics in Ohio to its customer base.

Coming on the heels of another Ohio-based acquisition last March, the acquisition of Accumed expands iMedX's base of customers and greater penetration in Ohio. Accumed's customers will have access to advanced technology through iMedX's cloud-based healthcare information solutions – TurboScribe® document management and TurboRx® electronic prescribing. Additionally iMedX's TurboDox™ - a blend of technology and process - will increase physician usage of EHRs through dictation, and will help doctors remain productive even as EHRs are being implemented.

Venkat Sharma, iMedX's President and CEO, along with the current iMedX management team, will lead the combined companies. Accumed's current production and operations team will continue to support and grow its loyal customer base as Accumed's customers are integrated into iMedX.

"Accumed has provided high quality medical transcription to its customers over the years," said Mr. Sharma. "We are pleased to have the Accumed family join iMedX. Accumed customers will benefit greatly from iMedX's paperless technology and innovative cloud-based healthcare information solutions to help compliance with the new 'meaningful use' requirements placed on electronic medical records."
