Samsung Medison highlights medical devices at RNSA 2012 meeting

Samsung Medison, a leading global medical devices company, announced that it participated the "RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) 2012", held in McCormick Place, Chicago from November 25th to 30th, in the biggest scale thus far. This is the first show in the U.S. highlighting a full line up of medical devices together with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., which is a testament to the company's investment in the radiology market with the goal to further expand its business worldwide.

Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about Samsung's medical device brand, GEO, which is Greek for earth, and included in the model names to demonstrate the company's commitment to global health through innovative medical devices. The GEO brand includes the XGEO for digital radiography, UGEO for ultrasound diagnostic system and LABGEO for in-vitro diagnostics.

The UGEO exhibit highlights ultrasound systems including premium lines that are soon to be released in the market. Samsung promotes its solidification of premium lines at this RSNA in order to increase its brand awareness in the radiology market after mainly targeting OB/GYN with high-end and mid-range ultrasound systems. Samsung Medison introduced the upgraded Accuvix A30, which features the Single Crystal Transducer optimized for radiology.

At the New Technology exhibit, attendees will learn about the latest diagnostic imaging devices and the company's vision for the medical device industry. These products are designed for doctors to make more accurate and easier diagnoses through realistic imaging. In addition, customers will appreciate the innovative and superior design.
