Kyruus, a leading provider of Patient Access & Referral Management Solutions, announced today that it has partnered with University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, to deploy its ProviderMatch platform. The platform enables providers, referral coordinators, and central schedulers to find and connect patients with clinically appropriate, in-network physicians in a timely manner. University Hospitals will use the system to reduce appointment wait times and improve capacity utilization across its physician enterprise of both academic and community-based physicians.

"The ability to effectively meet patient needs and drive convenience while maintaining the highest standards of quality is intrinsic to the care provided across the University Hospitals health system," said Dr. Michael Nochomovitz, President of University Hospitals Physician Services. "ProviderMatch provides visibility into the clinical expertise and availability of our physicians in a way that enables us to match each patient with the right doctor for their care."

Leveraging a Big Data approach, Kyruus transforms the way in which hospitals and providers approach physician scheduling and referral management. The ProviderMatch solution is comprised of three major areas of functionality, including (1) a diagnosis- and symptom-based search and business rules engine to identify clinically appropriate providers, (2) a practice management interface for integrating into patient registration and scheduling workflows, and (3) business intelligence dashboards for identifying opportunities to optimize access and supply-and-demand alignment. The result is a streamlined patient access workflow that allows for coordinated, high-quality care.

"The ability to convert patient demand into actionable patient encounters is a key differentiator within increasingly competitive markets and is fundamental to the transition from a fee-for-service model to one of fee-for-value," said Dr. Graham Gardner, Co-Founder and CEO of Kyruus. "We are honored to be working with University Hospitals to help optimize the way in which patients are cared for within their network of providers."
