New samaritan PAD Trainer simplifies CPR and AED training

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

HeartSine Technologies is pleased to announce the arrival of its enhanced samaritan® Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) Trainer, which offers new features that simplify CPR and AED training.

The new samaritan PAD Trainer with remote control guides users through simulated analysis, energy delivery and prompted Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) intervals with the look and feel of a live samaritan PAD without the actual charge and discharge of an electrical shock. The new Trainer offers both new and improved features, including:

  • New Trainer-Pak which includes a cable rewind feature and revised electrode storage pads for a quicker and easier reset process, and is backward compatible with previous model Trainers
  • New battery status indicator that indicates charge status (while not in use), and one-hour of remaining battery (while in use)
  • Improved volume control with four selectable levels and a default to the last selection
  • Enhanced pre-programmed selectable AHA/ERC training scenarios

"Based on the valuable input we received from CPR trainers around the world, we integrated new features and technology to make our new product the most user-friendly trainer on the market," says Andy McClernon, HeartSine Product Marketing Manager.

The samaritan Trainer, which is available in three models 350P, 300P and 500P, is offered globally in 29 languages through the company's network of authorized distributors.

The samaritan PAD Trainer is based on the company's flagship samaritan PAD which utilizes proprietary electrode technology, advanced and stable firmware, and proprietary SCOPE™ (Self-Compensating Output Pulse Envelope) biphasic technology (an escalating and low-energy waveform that automatically adjusts for patient impedance differences) to assess rhythm and maximize effective shock delivery if necessary.

With a rating of IP56, the samaritan PADs are some of the most robust AEDs available on the market, providing the highest level of moisture and dust ingress protection in the industry. This makes the HeartSine AEDs equally ideal for use in the corporate office or in the field where exposure to the elements is a challenge.

All HeartSine samaritan PAD models use the company's innovative Pad-Pak™ cartridge that houses both the battery and electrodes for the device. One expiration date eliminates the need and reduces the costs to track and store two separate items, giving the samaritan PAD one of the lowest costs of ownership in the industry. And the battery carries the aviation industry's latest E/TSO-C142a certification for use on commercial aircraft.

The samaritan PAD devices feature easy to understand visual and voice prompts that guide a user through the process, including CPR coaching which verbally guides the rescuer through the CPR process.
