LUMEDX Corporation, a leading provider of vendor-neutral cardiovascular imaging and information systems (CVIS), announced today that it has contracted to provide Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with a comprehensive CVIS that will integrate patient data and images across five different sites. The LUMEDX CVIS will consolidate data, improve physician access to patient information, streamline clinical workflows, and support outcomes analysis and registry reporting for the Phoebe Heart and Vascular Center.
The Heart and Vascular Center and LUMEDX have planned a staged implementation that will enable electronic:
-
Physician reporting for: Cardiac Catheterization, Echocardiography, Pediatric Echocardiography, Electrophysiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Peripheral Vascular Invasive and Diagnostic workflows
-
Web-based LUMEDX PACS for the five Phoebe facilities
-
Analytics, including Clinical and Financial Analytics Dashboards
-
Scheduling
-
Inventory and billing
-
National registries
-
Remote access to patient information
"Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital wanted a way to virtually connect all five of its cardiology facilities in order to accelerate patient reporting, minimize physician travel time between sites, and generally improve efficiency," said Joe Davis, LUMEDX Regional Sales Director. "The LUMEDX HealthView platform supports remote access to patient information as well as multi-site procedure schedules, and will make it easier for physicians to get complete, up-to-date patient and schedule information- even across facilities." In addition, by automating inventory and billing, LUMEDX software will facilitate Phoebe's efforts to better track expenditure and identify areas for cost savings.
The hospital also plans to automate participation in the following national cardiac registries using LUMEDX registry software:
-
ACC NCDR® ACTION Registry®-GWTG™
-
ACC NCDR® CARE Registry®
-
ACC NCDR® CathPCI Registry®
-
ACC NCDR® ICD Registry™
-
STS Cardiac Surgery Database
"We are honored to embark on such a major CVIS project with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, and we look forward to turning their vision into reality as we begin to implement the software," said LUMEDX Vice President of Strategic Products Praveen Lobo.
