Propak Asia 2014 to be held at BITEC on June 11-14

ProPak Asia is Asia's No. 1 international food, drink and pharmaceutical processing, filling and packaging technology event, to take place for its successful 22^nd edition on 11 to 14 June at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).

"The food and drink manufacturing industries are key sectors in Thailand economy and continue to grow at strong growth rates. Pharmaceutical manufacturing is also growing well. Thailand's economy remains robust and continues to grow despites the ongoing political situation. Food exports are up by approximately 6% this year. ProPak Asia 2014 will once again be our biggest ProPak Asia in history increasing approximately 5% and covering all 6 Halls of BITEC," said Mr. Justin Pau, General Manager, Bangkok Exhibition Services (BES) Ltd.

Mrs. Jaruwan Suwannasat, Director of TCEB's Exhibition & Event Department added that "While Bangkok has been making headlines, I would like to reassure you that exhibition businesses here are carrying on as usual. Exhibition venues remain accessible. Our international airports, hotels, banks, transport and tourism services continue to function as normal. On behalf of government who dedicated and have direct responsibility for trade show, we work very closely with the organizers and support fully in order to give confidence in bringing the oversea participants and also the domestic visitors to attend the show".

As Asia's No. 1 industry event, ProPak Asia 2014 is expected to attract over 1,800 participants from over 45 countries, 14 national pavilions from 11 different countries/regional groups including mainland China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom and the USA, and showcases over 4,500 machines from across the world.

ProPak Asia 2014 will feature six zones to make it easier for suppliers and buyers to meet and make business. The zones include: DrinkTechAsia 2014, FoodTechAsia 2014, Lab&TestAsia 2014, PackagingMaterialsAsia 2014, PharmaTechAsia 2014, and PrintTechAsia 2014.
