Klinikverbund Kempten-Oberallgäu selects iMDsoft's MetaVision to manage patient information

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

iMDsoft®, a leader in clinical information systems, announced that Klinikverbund Kempten-Oberallgäu in Germany, a hospital with four sites in Kempten, Immenstadt, Oberstdorf and Sonthofen, chose MetaVision for all of its ICUs, intermediate care units and operating rooms. Located in Germany's biggest and most well-known ski area, the hospital focuses on Internal Medicine, Oncology, Orthopedics and Trauma.

Klinikverbund Kempten-Oberallgäu embarked on a process to upgrade their existing PDMS, and decided to move forward with MetaVision. MetaVision will provide the hospital with one integrated patient record across their critical care and perioperative environments across all four locations. Using centralized configuration management, iMDsoft will help enhance operational efficiency, promote standardization and enforce clinical best practices. Klinikverbund Kempten-Oberallgäu will be able to easily configure the system without iMDsoft's involvement.

MetaVision generates comprehensive, accurate, and actionable electronic medical records, offering minute-by-minute patient information collection and display. The system provides workflow coverage across the entire continuum of care, maintaining a single patient record across ICUs, pre-op units, ORs, recovery units and general floors. Its dynamic patient-centric information repository and decision support options promote the delivery protocols and regulatory requirements. MetaVision interoperates seamlessly with a wide range of medical devices and hospital information systems.

"MetaVision will reduce risk for patients, and the quality of care will be improved," said Dr. Martin Fiedermutz, head of anaesthesia at Immenstadt and clinical lead of the project. "The PDMS reduces administrative workload for clinicians, freeing up time that can be spent on patients. The system will provide complete integration of intensive care and anaesthesia documentation, enabling us to achieve a real continuum of care. Everything that is currently documented on paper, such as treatment plans, medications, vital signs, and data from medical devices, will now be captured in one record."

"We are excited to bring specialized functionality that is crucial for high acuity environments to Klinikverbund Kempten-Oberallgäu," said Mike Myers, CEO of iMDsoft. "Given our track record of successful multi-site projects, we are sure the hospital will quickly realize the many benefits of MetaVision."
