NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Americana Corporation is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with COMS Interactive, LLC (Clinical Outcomes Management Systems or COMS). The partnership supports an interface between Americana Corporation's AmeraCare products/services and the COMS Daylight IQ™ disease management software.

AmeraCare Systems is Americana's latest software product, bringing to Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities a combination of clinical, MDS, and EMR functionality. The product set includes internally integrated Accounts Receivable, Medicaid and Medicare Billing, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger.

"Partnering with COMS is natural extension of our business model," noted Bryan Hood, Principal, Americana Corporation. "The interfacing of Daylight IQ™ with our AmeraCare products and services represents another example of our dedication in providing integrated solutions, and we are excited to provide this additional integration to our customers."

The COMS Interactive flagship product, Daylight IQ™, focuses on raising overall clinical and financial outcomes in the long-term care marketplace, including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, and Home Care. Daylight IQ™, a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, features a series of integrated, disease-based library of clinical protocols that significantly empower the entire nursing team at the point of care, while improving communication between all parties. Deploying Daylight IQ™ reduces 30-day hospital readmissions by up to 50% and premature mortality by more than 60%.

"We are enjoying our partnership with Americana Corporation," noted Edward J. Tromczynski, Chief Executive Officer, COMS Interactive. "The new integrated AmeraCare offering, in combination with Daylight IQ™, provides Americana's customers with a more complete product set while delivering an enhanced competitive advantage to the organization."

Industry data shows that the average nursing home resident has a complicated health profile, including one primary disease and up to eight secondary diseases or afflictions. Over 70% of re-hospitalizations from a skilled nursing facility are due to a secondary or new disease progression. By providing early detection of an individual's change in condition, Daylight IQ™ highlights potential problems and offers caregivers the opportunity to respond, preventing further progression of the illness or affliction.
