Elite dermatologic surgeon Dr. David Amron was among few physicians asked to speak at the Syneron Investor Conference Sept. 17 in New York. Focusing on the growing opportunities within the body contouring and fat reduction markets, Syneron Medical Ltd., a leading global aesthetic device company, invited Dr. Amron to share his success as one of the first in the country to use its UltraShape® technology at his practice in Beverly Hills, Calif.

"I'm a major advocate of integrative body contouring and UltraShape is at the cutting edge," said Dr. Amron. "Fat removal has evolved significantly over the years and with the right physician, using the right technology, there's absolutely no reason a patient should ever again deal with bruising, pain, unnatural-looking results or any other needless risks or setbacks."

In April 2014, UltraShape® was FDA approved to permanently and painlessly reduce excess body fat without the use of anesthesia or surgery, in under an hour. Before becoming available nationwide, Dr. Amron was of the first in the nation to exclusively offer the noninvasive treatment.

With a pulsed, focused ultrasound, UltraShape® targets precise depth within a patient's fat layer, selectively destroying unwanted fat cells. The cells are then broken down and naturally metabolized by the body, while protecting surrounding tissue, blood vessels and nerves. As a key opinion leader of Syneron, during the conference, Dr. Amron participated in a Q&A discussion and shared his experience.

"I've been an expert in liposuction for two decades, and recently there's undoubtedly been an exciting area of advancement to noninvasively target fat," said Dr. Amron. "Several noninvasive devices exist, but UltraShape is the best and most specific. It represents the next generation of approaching fat non-surgically."
