Ranir acquires Oralys Dental

Building on its position as a global leader in private label consumer oral and personal health care products, Ranir, today announced it has acquired Oralys Dental, the leading provider of private label toothbrushes in France. The move bolsters Ranir's global footprint and establishes the Company as the largest private label oral care provider in France. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Beauvais, France-based Oralys specializes in category management, quality and product design in the private label oral and personal care industry. The acquisition of Oralys provides direct access to well-known international retailers and will assist with Ranir's global strategy to expand its established business in Northern and Western Europe into the Southern European region, including France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

"The addition of Oralys Dental is another significant step in our international strategy aimed at partnering with key retailers to grow both geographically and in our product assortment," said Ranir CEO Christine Henisee. "Oralys is the market share leader in France, giving us a strong platform for expanding Ranir into the Southern European Countries and adding to our momentum in the North and Western regions in Europe with the ultimate goal of becoming the leader in oral care products in the EU."

Oralys Dental will remain a separate company and continue to operate under the Oralys brand, led by Gijsbert Dezaire, Executive Vice President, Ranir International and Managing Director Europe, and the existing Oralys team. Eric Lassau, founder of Oralys, will continue to manage operations in the region as southern European sales director, while benefiting from the added resources, team and global reach of Ranir.
