Village Capital, Texas Medical Center to join for Health IT Venture Forum

Join Village Capital and the Texas Medical Center on March 4, 2015, for our Health IT Venture Forum showcasing 8 enterprises bridging the "health-wealth" gap.

The Venture Forum will feature pitches from the 8 early-stage ventures in the Village Capital-TMCx Health IT 2014/15, in partnership with the SGII Center, program and will include an audience of investors, mentors, potential customers, and members of the greater Salt Lake City community. The Venture Forum will be followed by a reception for all attendees.

The Venture Forum is the capstone event of the Village Capital-TMCx Health IT 2014/15, in partnership with the SGII Center, program, which features 8 early-stage businesses increasing healthcare accessibility to low-income and underserved populations. At the end of the program, the top two program participants will be selected by the other entrepreneurs in the group to each receive a $50,000 USD investment.

The 8 ventures featured at this event are:

  • 1DocWay builds telepsychiatry networks for hospitals and clinics to increase provider access and create new revenue streams.
  • AsthmaMD is on a mission to modernize asthma care to enable asthmatics and COPD sufferers to live healthier lives.
  • Healarium is a personalized, adaptive patient care plans helping people follow clinical daily regimens to manage chronic conditions.
  • Hybrent is a mobile supply chain company helping customers reduce cost, while improving efficiencies.
  • iRxReminder offers a mobile data gathering and cloud based monitoring platform that ensures patient medication and care compliance in clinical research or healthcare delivery.
  • OnePortal.io is the one portal needed to strengthen relationships with patients and providers.
  • Seratis builds a network of providers and family members around a patient in order to better coordinate care inside and outside the hospital.
  • SpeakMODalities creates software apps that help kids with autism learn speech and language skills.
  • UberHealth enables children staying away from their parents to manage their elder's well-being from a distance.
