Milliman, Inc., one of the premier global consulting and actuarial firms, announced today that their healthcare analytic platform, MedInsight, has achieved the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) certification for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) 2015 Measures. Since its introduction in 1993, HEDIS has evolved to become the gold standard in managed care performance measurement.

"MedInsight is committed to helping our clients improve healthcare quality by providing 23 NCQA HEDIS Certified Measures℠," said Milliman principal Kent Sacia. "Overall, the MedInsight Analytic Platform supports both public and private entities with 172 evidence-based measures."

The NCQA is an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to assessing and reporting on the quality of managed care plans, managed behavioral healthcare organizations, preferred provider organizations, new health plans, physician organizations, credentials verification organizations, disease management programs, and other health-related programs.

HEDIS is a tool used by more than 90 percent of America's health plans to measure performance on important dimensions of care and service. NCQA's HEDIS Measure CertificationSM is precise, automated testing that verifies compliance with HEDIS Specifications and satisfies the source code review portion of the HEDIS Compliance Audit™.

MedInsight is used by over 250 health plans, employers, at-risk providers/ACOs, state governments, community health coalitions, and third party administrators.
