NewsGuard 100/100 Score

MO BIO Laboratories, Inc., the leader in soil, environmental, plant and microbial nucleic acid purification, announces the launch of the PowerMag® DNA Clean-Up Kit, for automated, hands-free clean-up of DNA samples that require a secondary purification for removal of PCR inhibitors. This kit features MO BIO's novel ClearMag® magnetic bead technology.

The PowerMag® DNA Clean-Up Kit is the latest in the high quality nucleic acid purification tools developed using key MO BIO technologies:

  • Inhibitor Removal Technology®: For complete removal of PCR inhibitors, including humic acids, fulvic acids, polysaccharides, polyphenolics, heme, lipids and dyes that may be left behind when using kits other than MO BIO products for DNA isolation– reducing the risk of false negatives and ensuring optimal results in PCR, qPCR and next generation sequencing
  • ClearMag® technology: Magnetic beads designed with a unique coating that enables hands-free clean-up of DNA isolated from soil, plants, stool and other challenging samples – giving you the highest yield and recovery of pure DNA

The PowerMag® DNA Clean-Up Kit is an extension of MO BIO's PowerMag® line of DNA and RNA isolation kits, and is optimized for use with the Thermo Scientific KingFisher® Flex and KingFisher® Duo platforms, but can be adapted for use with any open platform automated liquid handling system.
