Boston Children's Hospital today announced that Children's & Women's Physicians of Westchester (CWPW) is officially a member of its Community of Care network. CWPW physicians and staff will continue providing care to their patients and families, while maintaining existing associations with Westchester Medical Center and New York Medical College.

"We're guided by the vision of providing an integrated network of pediatric locations and partnerships that deliver the highest-quality care in local communities and enable investments that ensure accessibility, affordability and enhancements in pediatric health. As our relationship strengthens, we look forward to fostering growth as we build the leading pediatric care network in the northeast," said Sandra L. Fenwick, President and CEO of Boston Children's Hospital.

For physicians and staff, this improved integration will benefit pediatric patients requiring highly complex or rare care. The clinical teams look forward to working together on research and study collaborations based on priorities as well as those designed to improve clinical care.

"Unique for the New York Metropolitan area, this is an exciting opportunity for our hospitals and community-based practices. The new relationship will enhance our position in an evolving healthcare landscape," said Dr. Leonard Newman, President of Children's and Women's Physicians of Westchester.

CWPW will maintain key responsibilities including medical practice, day-to-day leadership, oversight of operations, business development and physician and clinical staffing.
