Last Friday, Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association's President & CEO, Paul Ledford, received the Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) "Executive of the Year for 2015" in front of over 400 of his peers. FSAE is a 1000+ member organization of association professionals and vendors that support the association world and profession.

The "Executive Member Of The Year" is the most prestigious FSAE award to honor an association executive who has displayed the highest commitment to professional growth and pride in association management, and whose professionalism and leadership are evident in both services to the association management profession and to the community.

Frank Rudd, President & CEO of FSAE said, "Paul was an excellent choice for this award. His leadership of the Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association has been exemplary and a true model for Associations in our state. He also provided great leadership as the Chair of the FSAE Governmental Affairs Committee as well as his work to unite TSAE and FSAE into one organization."

Paul has been a member of both FSAE and the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives (TSAE), since the 1990s. His involvement includes: Director of the TSAE Board (effective 1/1/14), serving on the TSAE CEO Roundtable for over 20 years (including several terms as chair), Chair of the FSAE Government Affairs Committee, and Chair of the TSAE/FSAE Unification Task Force. Paul successfully negotiated the unification of TSAE/FSAE, including authoring the Board Resolutions to make it happen. This unification is viewed by all as a historic event in the association community and Paul is credited as the prime catalyst and chief architect of the idea whose energy kept the processes moving forward.
