OB/GYN doctor receives OBHG's 2013 Physician of the Year award

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

In 2013 Ob Hospitalist Group launched the Founder's Award Program; a recognition program designed to honor those employees who embrace OBHG's core values, contribute to our vision of elevating the standard of women's healthcare, and share OBHG founder, Dr. Chris Swain's vision that every expectant mother receives timely, consistent, unconditional, quality medical care by a physician when presenting to the Labor and Delivery Unit. Proudly we announce the first of these awards: the 2013 Physician of the Year, and the recipient, Dr. Dalibor Hradek.

As an OB/GYN hospitalist at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Florida Dr. Hradek has had a strong, positive impact on his team, hospital staff members he serves alongside, and perhaps most importantly, the women he cares for each day. In 2013 alone, he delivered over 200 babies, cared for over 2,800 patients, was instrumental in 14 life-saves and through his willingness to serve wherever and whenever needed, has accumulated 2900 hours of service.

With every patient encounter, Dr. Hradek's passion and commitment to the women and families he serves is apparent. Yet, this dedication doesn't just apply to his patients; it extends to actively giving his time, knowledge and energy to the residents, nursing staff and community providers he serves. Dr. Hradek is always present on the floor, engaging with the team, serving with a genuine heart.

Although a solid clinician, Dr. Hradek's greatest strength does not lie in his clinical expertise, vast experience, or admirable skill set. His greatest asset to his patients, colleagues and OBHG is his willingness to always do what is right and what is best for his patients. We can ask no more of any of our 250-plus hospitalists in the field, making difficult, life-and-death decisions every day.
