Pharmatek Laboratories opens new facility in San Diego

Pharmatek Laboratories has announced the opening of its new 34,000 sq. ft. facility at 7330 Carroll Road, San Diego, California 92121.

The lease includes an option to expand to 64,000 sq. ft., which allows for future growth of the company's operations.

Pharmatek's new location will initially more than triple its available laboratory and manufacturing space and house more than 100 employees focused on analytical development, preformulation testing, formulation development, GMP manufacturing, and stability storage and testing. The facility strengthens Pharmatek's drug development capabilities and its ability to continue the growth it has experienced over the past eight years.

"The new facility will support our rapidly growing pharmaceutical development business with space for additional expansion in the future," said Timothy Scott, president of Pharmatek. "The increased space enables us to enhance both our capacity and services. We can now conduct a larger number of projects and provide our clients with better service on those projects."

An important aspect of the facility build-out was a focus on Pharmatek's client-centric business model. Significant enhancements were created in the area of on-site client services. The facility includes GMP manufacturing viewing areas, multiple client meeting rooms and conference space for Pharmatek's upcoming educational seminar series.
