Nutrisystem's 28-Day program maintains an affordable per-meal cost

Nutrisystem, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTRI), a leading provider of weight management products and services that are delivered directly to the customers' doors, announced today that its popular 28-Day Nutrisystem Select program now includes an additional week of delicious fresh-frozen entrees - all for the same low monthly cost. The program combines a full two weeks of gourmet style fresh-frozen meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, with two weeks of Nutrisystem's classic ready-to-go foods. Previously, the Select program included only one week of fresh-frozen foods. The new Select 28-Day program is an even better value to customers because it offers more of what customers really want and maintains an affordable per-meal cost of about three dollars.

"Clearly value truly matters to consumers now more than ever but despite these economic challenges, consumers must still prioritize their health and wellness. Today, we aim to provide more options than ever to help support them on their affordable weight loss journey and are excited to offer an extra week of our Nutrisystem Select premium frozen food line, for the same great price," said Joe Redling, CEO and Chairman of Nutrisystem.

In a twelve-day taste test of foods from four popular diet companies recently reported in The Wall Street Journal, Nutrisystem Select fresh-frozen meals received the highest taste accolades. Reporter Peter King remarked, "Our Nutrisystem Select meal of turkey medallions with broccoli, carrots and cauliflower...was the best meal in our 12-day diet-food odyssey; the turkey was moist and tasty, and the vegetables were flavorful and vibrant with color."

With up to 170 meal choices, Nutrisystem makes it easier than ever for consumers to stick to their weight loss plan and save money while still indulging in foods that taste great, including Shrimp Alfredo, Ravioli Formaggio and sweet frozen treats like ice cream sandwiches and fudge swirl bars.

"At Nutrisystem, we always strive to raise the bar on taste and value," said Chris Terrill, Nutrisystem's Executive VP Ecommerce and Chief Marketing Officer. "We recognize how important gourmet-style food is to a successful weight loss journey and are pleased that our customers now have a way to get more of these popular entrees without an increase in our monthly cost."
