Mark Farrah Associates (MFA) announces the addition of Medicare Benefits Analyzer to its online product portfolio. “We are very pleased to be partnering with Strenuus® to launch this new product. This database will make it easier for companies to do comparative analysis of Medicare plans and assess competition in targeted geographic markets,” LuAnne Farrah, president of Mark Farrah Associates reported. MFA and Strenuus will launch the product in September to be positioned for the timely capture of 2010 benefits detail that CMS will release on or around October 9th.

Now, in addition to detailed membership data that MFA presents in Medicare Business Online, subscribers will have access to more than 50 plan design attributes for all Medicare Advantage plans nationwide. Product content includes premiums & co-pays for in- and out- of network health services; ancillary benefits; prescription drug co-pays; and health plan and drug plan member quality ratings. The product also includes benefits detail for stand-alone Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs). With a user-friendly interface, the web database will afford easy querying and comparative analysis of Medicare Advantage and PDP plans nationwide. Subscriptions will be offered for single state or 50-state access.

As Medicare plans prepare sales & marketing strategies for open enrollment starting November 15th, they will be able to analyze competitor benefit packages a month in advance. Medicare Benefits Analyzer refreshes will also enable the evaluation of competition and benefits composition as organizations step into bid planning for 2011.
