This month USAA and LTCFP are presenting a free 45-minute seminar that highlights the critical need for long-term care insurance and presents the various public and private financing options that are available. It will be held at multiple times in 4 Ohio cities. The general public, including military personnel, are invited to attend.

USAA provides benefits to members of the U.S. military and their families. LTCFP (LTC Financial Partners) is one of the nation's largest and most experienced long-term care insurance agencies.

The seminar will be held at multiple times in the following locations:

  • Dayton, OH. Sinclair Community College. September 22 & 24 at 3:00, 5:30 and 7:30 (choice of times).
  • Cleveland, OH. University of Phoenix Cleveland. September 23 at 3:00, 5:30 and 7:30 (choice of times).
  • Cincinnati, OH. University of Phoenix Cincinnati campus. September 23 at 3:00, 5:30 and 7:30 (choice of times).
  • Columbus, OH. University of Phoenix Columbus campus. September 29 at 3:00, 5:30 and 7:30 (choice of times).

The seminar's theme is "3 in 4 Need More." According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, "At least 70 percent of people over age 65 will require some long-term care services at some point in their lives," says Denise Gott, LTCFP's Chairman of the Board. "That's about three in every four of us!"

The seminar will highlight the critical need for long-term care and lay out the public and private financing options. Personalized advice will be available along with access to discounted policies for USAA members. "We'll offer choices appropriate for all," says Gott.

"For those with very limited assets, Medicaid may be the right care source," says Gott. "For those with larger incomes or estates to protect, private long-term care insurance may be preferable, or a combination of private and public options. During the seminars we'll discuss choices appropriate for all families regardless of their income, and we'll discuss the various tax incentives."
