Former HHS Secretary to be the featured speaker of the health care reform Webinar event

TogetherMD announced today Donna Shalala, President of the University of Miami and former Health and Human Services Secretary from 1993 - 2001, is the featured speaker for a candid discussion on health care reform in the United States. During her tenure, Ms. Shalala directed the welfare reform process that provided health insurance for an estimated 3.3 million children and raised child immunization rates to the highest levels in history. She also directed a major management and policy reform for Medicare, led reforms of the FDA's drug approval process and food safety system, and revitalized the National Institutes of Health. "Ms. Shalala is a leader who has special insight in terms of understanding how healthcare reform will affect our country," Larry added.
