New fruit-flavored protein drinks for nutritionally challenged

The Isopure Company, LLC. announced today the U.S. launch of Isopure Plus - a new line of clear, fruit-flavored protein drinks offering seniors and people with nutritional challenges a great-tasting, easy-to-digest alternative to thick milkshake-like protein formulations. Ideal for seniors and anyone needing extra protein in their diet, these innovative new drinks are now available nationwide at chain drug stores, nutrition centers, and through on-line retailers.

Nutritional challenges can occur for a variety of reasons including: reduced nutrient absorption resulting from normal aging processes; medication side effects such as reduced appetite, nausea, and vomiting, which are common among people receiving chemo, radiation, and anti-retroviral therapies; reduced stomach capacity from weight-loss surgery; and medical conditions such as diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

According to the United States Food and Drug Administration, healthy adults need to consume about 50 grams of protein per day (A.K.A. Daily Value for protein). Isopure Plus drinks are designed to help people with nutritional challenges meet their daily protein and nutrition goals by delivering 15 grams (30 percent of the Daily Value for protein) of high-quality, rapidly-absorbed, ion-exchange whey protein in a single easy-to-drink eight-ounce serving. Offered in two great-tasting fruit flavors, Alpine Punch and Grape Frost, Isopure Plus drinks are available with carbohydrates for people in need of extra calories in their diet (Isopure Plus Nutritional Drink) and without carbohydrates for weight-loss surgery patients and people with concerns about blood sugar (Isopure Plus Zero Carb Protein Drink). Today's launch and nationwide availability of these new drinks make clear protein easily accessible to seniors and all people facing nutritional challenges.
