The Health & Wellness Institute® (HWI) announced today that it has partnered with Consortium Health Plans, Inc. to design and implement a comprehensive wellness strategy.

“Consortium Health Plans has demonstrated vision and leadership in its mission to position Blue Cross Blue Shield® plans as the carrier of choice for national accounts,” said Michael Samuelson, President and CEO of HWI. “We’re proud to serve such a forward-thinking organization, and we’re eager to explore further opportunities for collaboration with Consortium and the Blues plans they represent.”

The wellness initiative launched in September, 2009 with the deployment of onsite biometric screenings and HWI’s proprietary online Personal Health Assessment to gather population health risk data. To drive population engagement with these assessment activities and any subsequent healthy lifestyle programming, HWI has also implemented its H.I.T.S. – Health Incentive Tracking System™ application with member ID cards that are private-labeled for Consortium Health Plans.
