GTSI named value-added reseller of the Intel Health Guide RPM solution

GTSI Corp. (NASDAQ: GTSI) an enterprise technology solutions and services provider was recently named a value-added reseller to deliver the Intel® Health Guide, a comprehensive, next-generation remote patient monitoring (RPM) solution that combines an in-home patient device, the Intel Health Guide PHS6000, with the Intel® Care Management Suite, an online interface that allows clinicians to monitor patients and remotely manage care. This innovative solution enables healthcare providers to conduct video conferences with patients, provide remote care assessments, and monitor key metrics for chronically ill patients with diseases such as diabetes, congestive heart conditions, and respiratory disorders.

“By delivering the Intel Health Guide, GTSI will enable improved patient care and help address the challenges of a worldwide chronic disease epidemic. The Intel Health Guide which was designed after a decade of ethnographic research with more than 1,000 households and 150 hospitals and clinics, was named 2009 Frost & Sullivan Home Health Devices Product of the Year. The solution received 510(k) market clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in July of 2008.

During GTSI’s 26 year history the company has delivered healthcare solutions to the Food and Drug Administration, Veterans Administration, and hospitals both private and public. The addition of the Intel solution will extend GTSI’s healthcare offerings into private households and will be available in the fourth quarter of 2009.
