Pamela Bowen, Chief Information Officer at Crescent Healthcare, was selected as a finalist for the "Chief Innovation Officer" Appy Award for transforming Crescent's business with the power of cloud computing. Appy Award recipients are nominated based on their innovative usage of Salesforce CRM or the Force.com platform in bringing new levels of customer success to their sales, marketing, partner, service, support or IT organizations.
"It is an honor to be nominated in the company of such successful and influential IT leaders," said Ms. Bowen. "As the first infusion services provider to build an enterprise solution in the cloud, we will have the unique capability to scale our operations to meet our customers' varying needs - serving everyone from the individual physician's practice to large national health plans."
Ms. Bowen shared her insights and lessons learned with Dreamforce attendees during a panel on "Custom Cloud Innovation in Healthcare and Life Sciences." In front of over 200 session attendees at Dreamforce, which had 19,000 registered attendees, Ms. Bowen shared the stage with panel members Chris O'Conner of Genentech, Inc. and David King and Simon Church of salesforce.com.
Crescent's enterprise solution will allow the organization to assist physicians, medical groups, hospitals, and payers in monitoring and modifying therapies delivered to patients more effectively, giving them the ability to make adjustments more quickly.
Leslie Vaughan R.Ph., Crescent Healthcare's Senior Vice President of Chronic Therapies and an executive sponsor of the custom cloud solution, is excited about the real time data Crescent will be able to deliver to customers and partners.
