The Medipattern Corporation ("Medipattern") (TSX VENTURE:MKI), a pioneer in the development of medical software solutions that help improve imaging workflow and productivity, has announced that it has partnered with Ocean Medical Imaging Center (OMIC), developed through a partnership with Lake Forest, Calif.-based InSight Health Services Holdings Corp. ("Insight Imaging") (OTCBB:ISGT), to provide the service of B-CAD® computer aided detection of breast ultrasound imaging under the B-CAD-FOR-LIFETM program.

B-CAD automatically characterizes breast lesions using the American College of Radiology (ACR) Ultrasound Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS®). B-CAD increases accuracy, saves time, and improves efficiency.

"Our sonographers learned to use B-CAD within a few hours and our physicians saw a significant improvement in their ability to more efficiently communicate diagnoses. B-CAD enables them to simply click on standardized language and then it guides them through the process, replacing handwritten notes with BI-RADS evidenced-based descriptors," said Karen Starr-Brady, Regional Director of Enterprise Operations for Insight Imaging.

OMIC is a comprehensive, freestanding diagnostic imaging center whose goal is to provide patients with superior diagnostic imaging services in a caring, safe and convenient environment. By doing this, OMIC has earned the trust and confidence of physicians throughout our community who now depend on OMIC to provide the diagnostic imaging needs of their patients.

"With the importance of early detection, we believe this technology represents a significant contribution to breast imaging," said Joseph Triolo, M.D., a board-certified radiologist at OMIC. "Mammography can detect cancerous lesions long before a lump is ever felt and then we use breast ultrasound imaging to characterize the lump. B-CAD helps us to detail more evidence concerning masses and suspicious calcifications, providing a higher quality of patient care."

"It's our patients who win with this new technology," said Starr-Brady. "When women come to OMIC for their ultrasounds, they know they aren't only getting experienced, board-certified radiologists, but also advanced technology that is enhancing our ability to more accurately detect breast cancer."

"New Jersey represents our first step in rolling out B-CAD-FOR-LIFE on a national basis in The United States. The program provides affordable access to the latest ultrasound CAD technology innovations leading the way through B-CAD. We first piloted the program in New York where it has been well received," added Jeff Collins, CEO of The Medipattern Corporation. "OMIC and Insight Imaging have been very supportive in organizing the additional information that this task required. We would like to thank Art Gelber president of Healthcare iQ for providing reimbursement guidance, and Amy Eriksen from Physicians Consultant Medical Sales for facilitating this transaction."
