ONE launches clinical software and business services for medical billing companies and physician groups

The Power of One (ONE) today announced simple but powerful clinical software and business services for radiology, anesthesiology, cardiology, pathology and multi-specialty physician groups. ONE offers its software and services to medical billing companies, academic hospitals, and an array of hospital and office-based practices, including individual and group practices in the Northeast. ONE's purpose is to allow physicians, practices and medical billing companies to take control of their increasingly adverse environment.

"Today's health care providers are faced with complexity on many fronts beyond the daily advances in medicine," said Mr. Sullivan. "Health care reform is one obvious force. Insurance company rules and idiosyncrasies impact physician overhead, staff and revenue. Technology choices have multiplied and now must be resolved or a physician will face reductions in reimbursement. The Power of One offers physicians and medical billing companies a practical powerful solution to these challenges." It can do so based on the vision and the experience of a true pioneer in the industry, Stephen G. Sullivan, Sr. Mr. Sullivan began his healthcare career in the mid 70's when he left a major hospital supply company to work with a physician at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City; the goal was to find a solution to the growing complexity of healthcare billing. The resulting company, AISCorp, became the leading practice management software company serving thousands of physicians in 26 states. Along the way, AISCorp was recognized in the INC 500 no less than four times. Mr. Sullivan partnered with IBM in 1986 to create the leading practice management software "Infinity" on the IBM A/S400. In 1991, he sold AISCorp to what is now McKesson Corporation, where the software continues to serve many practices.

In 1999, Mr. Sullivan agreed to resolve critical billing issues facing the largest free standing primary care practice in New York approximately (140 physicians with 40 locations). Mr. Sullivan put the practice on sound financial footing within six months, and the technology and services he delivered evolved into the company Mr. Sullivan founded, AdvantEdge Healthcare Solutions, one of the leading medical billing companies in the United States.

Recently, Mr. Sullivan founded The Power of One: a third generation, privately-owned company with the objective to allow physician groups and medical billing companies to have the much needed tools to survive and prosper in today's market. According to Mr. Sullivan, "Like my other companies, the Power of One is built around a powerful technology core, IMAGINE(TM) software by Technology Partners, Inc. With IMAGINE(TM) software, ONE's clients have a wide range of features that are easily customized for each unique practice and medical billing company situation."

"Most physicians, medical billing companies, and healthcare providers don't have the time or the inclination to study technology. Even those who wonder which software and technology firms will be in business two, three, or five years from now. The Power of One is directly addressing these concerns with easy-to-use solutions that combine the best capabilities of technology market leaders."
