BIO-key International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BKYI), a leader in finger-based biometric identification solutions, today announced the expansion of its biometric identity solutions to include support for Windows Terminal Services Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Citrix ICA Client platforms and for Wyse CE terminals.

Application providers now have a simple solution to what has traditionally been a complex problem- deploying biometric fingerprint identification on a local client that accesses applications running on a central server. Traditionally a separate virtual channel would need to be developed for each reader manufacturer. Now all that is needed is a single interface from BIO-key that connects with every major fingerprint reader manufacturer! And even better, these fingerprint readers can be used interchangeably, reducing deployment time and support costs.

BIO-key has create a single virtual channel between applications running on servers and thin client environments including Citrix and Terminal Server/RDP platforms and thin client based hardware like Wyse CE terminals. With this single virtual connection, application providers can quickly and easily build biometric user identity authentication into their applications that are accessed by the thin clients. What makes this solution unique is that the applications can not only automatically detect they are running on a virtual platform, but they can authenticate the users via their fingerprint with any of the 40 fingerprint sensors BIO-key supports.

"With BIO-key's fingerprint ID software, users can utilize fingerprint readers built into their existing laptops to establish their identity when logging into applications. This significantly reduces our deployment and support costs" added Renier van der Drift, CEO of BioXS International. "The flexibility to interface with every major fingerprint reader manufacturer and BIO-key's superior matching accuracy are key reasons why we have been successful integrating their software into our solutions" he continued. "And last but not least, BIO-key's fingerprint ID software seamlessly plugs in to our Authasas Authentication middleware for network logon in Citrix and Microsoft Windows® domains environments". (www.authasas.com).

"BIO-key ID solutions provide application developers, solution providers and system integrators the tools to easily integrate biometric identification, providing the 100 million plus users who access applications and data on these platforms the ability to quickly and conveniently establish their identity" said Bud Yanak, Vice President of Marketing for BIO-key International. "Establishing an individual's identity has never been faster, more convenient or more accurate. We deliver the tools to implement fingerprint biometric identification into the broadest range of platforms including Windows Terminal Services and Citrix ICA Client platforms. And our software offers the ultimate in flexibility with our ability to interface with every major fingerprint reader manufacturer."
