“'Payers' cost management methods have evolved during this time”

Health Strategy Associates has conducted an annual survey of prescription drug management in workers’ compensation for six consecutive years. “'Payers' cost management methods have evolved during this time,” said Paduda. “The webinar will review survey results and provide insight into trends, emerging issues including physician dispensing, and describe best practices and successful cost control techniques.”

This is one of the first times WorkCompCentral.com has partnered with another information or data provider, according to Marketing Director Rob McCarthy. “Joe does an excellent job blogging about workers’ compensation health care and has a keen ability to connect the dots for the big picture,” McCarthy said. “With comp drug cost inflation up 7.5 percent, we wanted to be involved in getting the findings from his annual prescription drug survey to as many comp payers, third-party administrators and employers as possible.”
