“We are proud of this new business with Pima County”

“We are proud of this new business with Pima County,” stated Dr. Richard Turner, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Conmed Healthcare Management. “We believe this expanded business is primarily a result of the outstanding service we’ve provided to Pima County Adult Detention Center, which is the largest facility we serve, with approximately 1,900 detainees. It is remarkable that just 30 days after we received a commitment from Pima County to renew our initial agreement to provide medical services at the Adult Detention Center, seven months ahead of the contractual renewal date, we have now been selected to provide our services to their Juvenile Detention Center. We believe that Conmed provides an excellent, quantifiable value proposition for all sizes of correctional facilities, including the consistent delivery of the appropriate quality and standard of care, while simultaneously enabling our customers to manage their correctional facility operating costs within their budgets. This is a value proposition that works well for both small and large facilities. We are looking forward to continuing to serve Pima County and thank them for their continued commitment to us as their provider of choice.”

The juvenile facility, currently houses approximately 70 youths and is operated independently of the Adult Detention Center.
