Clarion Care develops healthcare software solution to reduce deficit by 42%

As Washington state government considers difficult tax increases and searches for ways to cut spending, Clarion Care, an innovative company, has developed a healthcare software solution that can reduce the deficit by 42%.

The healthcare technology firm recently released patent-pending solutions that drastically reduce both the administrative and premium costs associated with typical benefits plans. Clarion Care CEO Jeff Cunio explains, "Washington state is one of many employers suffering under the weight of an antiquated benefit and health delivery system. Employers should reject continuing to do business with a system that consistently increases in costs while cutting the level and number of services provided."

Clarion Care facilitates Employer contributions into Employee Directed Accounts (or, EDAs). Cunio explains, "The employee then uses their EDAs to manage their own healthcare including coverage and care options. This motivates individuals to find the health services they need at a price they believe is fair. It also gives employees a portable plan which they own, helping them build a healthcare savings account."

Businesses and politicians have long searched for ways to apply positive pressure to the price of healthcare - to little success. The inability to affect meaningful change is the result of a broken system - because the consumer of health services (the employee) is not responsible for the care payments - most people pay no attention to price.
