Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (CHS), a leading national workforce
health management company specializing in onsite health care solutions,
received a coveted accreditation by the Accreditation Association for
Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) for two of its new HybridHealthSM
onsite health centers. In just thirteen months from the completion of
construction to their accreditation, the Choose Health Wellness Center
at Hewitt Associates in Lincolnshire, Illinois, as well as an onsite
health center at a company in Texas, accomplished top ratings in all
AAAHC's core standards. The second site is a high-tech manufacturer and
services company with approximately 15,000 employees in and around
its center location.
“Having a third-party report that recognizes the outstanding quality of
care we provide to our patients is exceptional and speaks to a number of
recent innovations by our clinic staff”
The AAAHC accreditation certificate is a symbol that an organization is
committed to providing high-quality health care and it has demonstrated
this by measuring up to the Accreditation Association's high standards.
CHS voluntarily went through the accreditation process to further
demonstrate to clients and the onsite community that it consistently
meets and exceeds clinical, operations and quality standards.
"We are extremely proud of not only meeting, but surpassing, compliance
in all areas of AAAHC standards with an excellent rating," said CHS
Director of Quality, Drew Di Giovanni, MPH, FACMPE. "This far exceeded
our expectations and demonstrates to our customers and their employees
that CHS health centers are of the utmost quality and should be the
place employees look to for the best health care experience."
CHS met or exceeded AAAHC's core standards in the areas of quality of
care, quality improvement, patient rights, medical records and
facilities, and administration and governance, as well as adjunct
standards in minor surgery, local anesthesia, lab and pharmaceutical
services, and urgent care. Meeting the Accreditation Association's high
standards demonstrates its commitment to technology, clinical
infrastructure, account management, and human capital in practicing
safe, standard, and measurable health care. CHS has also adopted AAAHC's
7-step Quality Improvement (QI) process, coupled with extensive
management and staff training in Six Sigma tools.
"Having a third-party report that recognizes the outstanding quality of
care we provide to our patients is exceptional and speaks to a number of
recent innovations by our clinic staff," said CHS Vice President of
Operations, Beth Ratliff. "We'll continue to build on these advances and
now have a project planning tool the will enable us to expedite bringing
all of our new clinic sites into AAAHC compliance within months of
opening the doors," adds Ratliff.
