A retrospective analysis of 1,234 Americans indicated a substantial underdiagnosis of obesity when Body Mass Index (BMI) was used compared to the Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) scan.  

Endocrine Intervention in Surgical Patients with Diabetes Leads to Shorter Hospital Stays, Reduced Costs

New research released today indicates that endocrine intervention in surgical patients with diabetes and dysglycemia (abnormal blood sugar) accounted for shorter hospital stays and a decrease in the expense of treating these patients.

New Data Questions Whether Diabetes Is Really "Cured" by Gastric Bypass Surgery
