The Premier healthcare alliance has recognized the winners of its fifth annual awards for suppliers exceeding operational and quality expectations.
“These awards recognize our valued suppliers that strive for collaboration and performance excellence to benefit the alliance and we are honored to recognize them as top performers”
Premier's Pinnacle and Performance Awards applaud the efforts of contracted suppliers in meeting or exceeding operational expectations. In selecting recipients, performance data is collected and scored over four successive calendar quarters. Contracted suppliers scoring 95 percent or higher earn the Pinnacle Award; and suppliers scoring between 85 and 94 percent earn the Performance Award.
Additionally, Premier honored select winners of the Pinnacle and Performance Awards with its second annual Polaris Award. Cardinal Health, CDW Healthcare, Covidien, Hill-Rom, Owens & Minor Inc., and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics received the award, which celebrates suppliers that have exceeded operational expectations and excelled at the qualitative aspects of service. Premier members ranked the winners through a survey of the top five Pinnacle and Performance Award winners who scored 90 percent or better on their scorecard. This year, two were tied in the top five, so there were six winners.
"These awards recognize our valued suppliers that strive for collaboration and performance excellence to benefit the alliance and we are honored to recognize them as top performers," said Premier Purchasing Partners president Mike Alkire.
Award winners were announced at the 2010 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Washington on June 9.
