The "Informant" is not a culture, settlement plate, swab collection kit, or an ATP test. Rather it is a highly accurate testing technology called immunochromatographic assay, also known as a rapid test or Hand-Held Assay (HHA). Unlike the ATP test, which detects all living cells regardless of what those cells are, the "Informant 15 Minute Black Mold Detection Test" detects only specific sub-species of Aspergillus, Penicillium, and Stachybotrys.
