Perrigo Company (Nasdaq: PRGO; TASE) today announced that it has received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to manufacture and market over-the-counter (OTC) Cetirizine Cherry Syrup, 1mg/ml. Shipments will begin in the Company's fiscal first quarter 2011. Cherry joins the currently available grape flavor cetirizine syrup in Perrigo's product portfolio, giving patients a choice of store brand flavors.

The product will be marketed under store brand labels and is comparable to McNeil Consumer Healthcare's Zyrtec® Children's Allergy Syrup, indicated for indoor and outdoor allergy relief. Brand sales for the Zyrtec brand of products, which includes cherry syrup, were $580 million for the last 52 weeks ending July 4, 2010.
