The Vascular Disease Foundation (VDF) announced today that SIGVARIS, has become a member of VDF's National Corporate Round Table. The National Corporate Round Table serves to help the foundation in its public awareness and educational efforts.

SIGVARIS's contribution will support VDF's top priorities including activities related to the Venous Disease Coalition and the continued distribution of free educational material to the general public and medical facilities. Educational materials include VDF's quarterly magazine, Keeping in Circulation, and the distribution of patient brochures on vascular diseases.

"We are pleased to announce that SIGVARIS has decided to partner with the Vascular Disease Foundation," said Anton Sidawy, MD, President of VDF's Board of Directors. "The goal of the Foundation's National Corporate Round Table is to reduce the mortality and morbidity from vascular diseases. The Round Table is allied with the Foundation in the belief that patient quality of life and longevity can be improved through education and prevention, prompt diagnosis, comprehensive management and effective rehabilitation of arterial and venous disease."

Founded in 1998, VDF is the nation's leading nonprofit information and education resource on the diagnosis and management of vascular diseases, affecting over 54 million Americans.

"At SIGVARIS we are passionate about helping people improve their leg health, which is why we've been making medical graduated compression stockings and socks for more than 50 years," says Judith Brannan, education manager for SIGVARIS North America. "It made sense for us to join forces with the Vascular Disease Foundation because we value education, and we believe that many people are unaware of what they can do to help prevent vascular disease. We believe VDF is the perfect partner to help educate the public about the prevention and management of venous disorders."
