Due to Americans living increasingly sedentary lifestyles, coupled with being overweight, which is a leading cause of varicose veins, more and more adults are seeking both surgical and non-surgical treatments to remove their varicose veins.

“We're excited to expand LocateADoc.com's growing list of available procedures by adding Vein Treatment as a specialty. It was a direct result of demand from our surgeons who are receiving more and more requests for both surgical and non-surgical treatment of veins as Baby Boomers and the general population age”

The Vascular Disease Foundation reported "A large U.S. survey, the Framingham study, found that 27 percent of the American adult population had some form of venous disease in their legs." The study further concluded, "It is estimated that at least 20 to 25 million Americans have varicose veins." To accommodate for the growing demand for vein treatment surgery, LocateADoc.com, an online doctor directory for both patients and doctors, today launched Vein Treatment as a new specialty.

The addition of LocateADoc.com's new Vein Treatment specialty procedures provides patients with both educational articles and physician searches who perform surgeries for varicose veins or spider veins. LocateADoc.com's vein treatment options include: laser procedures, injections, sclerotherapy, endovenous laser vein removal, laser and pulsed light and vein ablation.

"We're excited to expand LocateADoc.com's growing list of available procedures by adding Vein Treatment as a specialty. It was a direct result of demand from our surgeons who are receiving more and more requests for both surgical and non-surgical treatment of veins as Baby Boomers and the general population age," said Glen Lubbert, Chief Imaginaut and CEO of Mojo Interactive, LocateADoc.com's parent company.
